Fiat Auto has lined up a raft of concepts that point the way forward for Fiat and Lancia. Highlights are this X1/99 (above), designed by Turin-based IED and based on the new Punto platform. Similar in size to the original X1/9 of 1972, the car has a Webasto folding hard-top.
Zagato’s Lancia Ypsilon Sport (right) is trumpeted as ‘Lancia’s return to the sports-car world’. Powered by a 150bhp diesel, it has carbon-shell seats, sports suspension and uprated brakes. It is on show at the Geneva motor expo.
